In this video series we take a look at the fundamental of cryptocurrencies. We look at the key concepts and ideas introduced by Satoshi Nakamoto in the seminal 2009 paper:- 'Bitcoin - A Peer-to-Peer electronic cash system'.
In this episode we start with a primer on Public/Private Key encryption. We look at the differences between Symmetric and Asymmetric encryption. We see how we can use these techniques to encrypt a message so that only a specific person can decrypt it, as well as sending a message so that all recipients know that it came from a specific author.
